Two bird conservation organisation, Birds of Australia and BOCA came together to become BirdLife Australia. The new organisation BirdLife Australia required an identity that perfectly captured their new brand essence. The brief also included the creation of an identity that would capture the attention of a wider market.

A dynamic brand identity was created to reflect their approach to bird conservation and providing a bright future for Australian birds. The new brand attracted a wider and younger audience with membership levels surpassing 10,000 members. BirdLife increased its digital presence with a large informative website. The rebrand has also streamlined content expenditure with a range of templates used to create flyers, newspapers and magazines.

Birds Australia and Bird Observation & Conservation Australia (BOCA) voted to merge the two organisations.

 “Over the next six months, both Birds Australia and BOCA will focus on delivery of our key work as well as implementing the merger and beginning to amalgamate operations. By joining forces, we will achieve more for Australia’s birds in our conservation and education efforts and will work better for our members in encouraging and facilitating enjoyment and appreciation of birds.  We hope that with your help we can make BirdLife Australia a place for everyone with an interest in birds – and look forward to an exciting and successful future together.”
